Sub-Contracts Engineer

Role
• To manage project subcontract activities.

Key aims and objectives
• To provide professional expertise in the development and letting of all project subcontracts
• To secure value for money in all sub-contract activities
• To ensure efficient administration of all let subcontracts
• To assist with execution of the Main Contract in accordance with the Contract

Prime responsibilities and duties
• Assist with development of subcontract strategy
• Develop and implement the sub-contract plan
• Develop short list of suitable tenders for each Subcontractor scope
• Develop appropriate set of Terms for all Project Subcontracts
• Maintain audit trail for all communications leading up to each subcontractor award
• To ensure that effective supply chain procedures are in place and followed
• To ensure that full records are kept for future reference/auditing
• To manage QA of all sub-contractors to include HSE, Local Content, Quality of Service and competence
• To monitor and ensure efficient administration of all subcontracts
• To raise and Change Orders/ Variation for all subcontractors and ensure correct authorisations
• To close out all contracts promptly
• To develop Nigerian staff in subcontract administration


Allied occasional duties
• To assist Cost Control Engineer will Forecast To Go estimates
• Report status of all Subcontracts and maintain Budget approval levels through CRB process
• Participate in subcontract quality audits
